Contract for Purchase

 

The purpose of this contract is to protect all parties: the purchaser, the seller, and the animal. If there are any problems, questions, concerns or issues that you need help with, Pawsitively Pugs is always here! We want the adoptive parent(s) and/or family to be completely happy with their new addition and his /her transition to the new home to be as smooth as possible. Transitioning is easy for some animals but more difficult for others, and animals handling stress in various ways. If there are ANY issues, please call Hannah McAlister, who will provide you with all the help she can to make this time easier for the new parents and the animal.

This is a legally binding contract that is enforceable in the court of law.

 

Pawsitively Pugs reserves the right to refuse sale to anyone for any reason.

Method of Payment

Deposit of $200 required.

A non-refundable deposit of $200 is required for purchase of the animal. Should the purchase, after having paid the deposit, decide against purchasing the pet, he/she forfeits the deposit.

The deposit amount will be deducted from the price of the animal once it's ready to go home.

In the event the animal becomes unavailable, the deposit will be refunded or put towards another available or upcoming animal.

The purchase shall make the deposit via PayPal, credit card, cash or cashier’s check. Payments made via PayPal shall be sent to the email address info@pawsitively-pug.com. An additional 3% of the payment must be added to payments made via PayPal or credit card; this serves to cover the fee that the seller is charged.

By paying the deposit, the purchaser indicates his/her agreement to abide by the terms stated in this contract.

This contract is valid if a deposit is placed, even if the contract is not signed.

Paws of Texas reserves the right to cancel any deposit held for a pet and return the deposit at ANY time if we feel someone is no longer a good match for one of our pets.

 

Guarantee

Great care is given to ensure the good health and disposition of each puppy raised by us. You will receive your new puppy with a health record of its shots and de-wormings. You will need to complete the vaccinations and de-wormings with a veterinarian of your choice. You will need to have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of purchase for this guarantee to be fulfilled.

Seller will provide a one- year guarantee on any genetic condition that is sufficiently serious in the written opinion of two qualified veterinarians (one of buyer’s choice and one of seller’s choice). Seller would then replace puppy with next available puppy of same quality. No cash refunds will be given. Seller is not responsible for any veterinarian cost incurred by Buyer. In the event of death for an unknown reason, an autopsy will need to be performed and genetic disorder revealed in order to be considered for replacement.

This guarantee does not include uneven bites, undescended testicles, umbilical hernias or puppy acne. Seller will not replace a puppy that has been neglected in any way by the buyer.  Buyer agrees not to expose puppy to any public places until puppy has had the full series of vaccinations required.  Puppies that contract Parvo or distemper after leaving here are not covered by this health guarantee.

Seller agrees that puppy may be returned if for any reason buyer can’t keep it. There will be no refund if puppy is returned. Extenuating circumstances will be considered on a case by case basis resulting in a deposit kept by seller.  A dog is a lifetime commitment which should have been made prior to purchasing it. If for any reason buyer needs seller to keep the puppy for a period of time a $60.00 per week charge plus any additional shots or meds will be added to the final price of the puppy.

This puppy guarantee is for 12 months against fatal and life altering congenital disease. This includes severe hip dysplasia, heart, pancreas, and liver problems of a severe life-threatening nature. If a puppy shows up with a defect, seller must be notified of the problem within two days of the licensed veterinarian's findings. Seller will not be responsible for any veterinarian expenses incurred.

This contract applies to original buyer only and is nontransferable to a second party. Current food is a all natural puppy food, you should switch to your choice of food gradually. You will be provided with a small supply of current food upon purchase.

Buyer agrees to have puppy spayed or neutered by 9 months of age, after doing this the buyer must send the seller a copy of the receipt signed by the vet.
